By popular demand, we now offer custom printing on our shirts for club orders. Your club’s SCIENCE TeeCHER t-shirts can now feature your school or club logo on the back or sleeve. The usual minimum number of shirts for custom printing is 24.
LOGOS & DESIGNS
TYPESETTING: If you simply want to print the name of your school or club or class on the shirts, maybe with some other information (school year, "District IV Math League Champions", a motto, etc.), we will typeset for you if you want. Typesetting is included in the setup charge.
LOGOS: If you want to print a logo on your club's shirts, you can submit the logo artwork either electronically or by postal mail. If it’s a school logo, chances are that someone at the school has artwork for the logo ready to submit. Check with the graphics department is there is one; also worth trying are department heads, coaches, administrators, and the athletic director. Please contact us to be sure that the artwork is suitable for screen printing. Contact us BEFORE you put in several hours doing the artwork.
If you want us to design a logo for you, we normally charge $45/hour.

TURNAROUND TIME
Normal turnaround time on custom print orders is three to five weeks. Sometimes we can turn the order around much faster without a rush charge; occasionally, orders take somewhat longer. We also offer “RUSH” service for custom printing, with an accompanying rush charge of at least 25% of the printing cost...possibly more, depending on circumstances. If you have a deadline and you want to be sure we can make the deadline, or if you want to know whether your order will require rush printing, please contact us to inquire.

CUSTOM PRINTING PRICING
There is no 25% club discount on printing charges. The club discount will be applied to the base price of the shirts only.
Setup charge: $25 per color of the design you want printed. This charge is not optional. It includes typesetting, but not artwork. In other words, this fee includes typesetting your club name, but not designing a club logo. If you have a two-color design to be printed, the setup charge is $50.
Ink change: $12.50 per screen. This charge covers changing the ink color during a printing run. It is most likely to happen for a club order that includes light and dark shirts. For example, if you want to print your club name in black on the backs of the white shirts in your order, and in white on the backs of your dark shirts, you will be charged for one ink change.

You can order custom printing by phone, e-mail, postal mail, or even using the "Special instructions" slot on our online shopping cart. It's usually best to call or e-mail first, especially if you have questions about turnaround time. When you do place your custom printing order, we need to know:

WE DON'T CUSTOM PRINT ON BLANK SHIRTS
We’re sometimes asked if we do custom screen printing, i.e., put a custom design on a blank shirt, as opposed to one of our shirts. Normally we don’t. If you really us to, we might, but we’ll charge an arm and a leg. We recommend you go to a screen printing shop instead. There’s probably one in your area that can do good work. If not, we recommend Shirtz Unlimited in St. Paul. They print several of our shirts, and handle orders from all over the USA.
